2008 "MOVE OVER" & "North Carolina CLICK IT or TICKET" Conference
Organized by AAA Carolinas and Families For Roadside Safety (F.O.R.S) May 19, 2008
NexTTyme LLC was on hand to support the "MOVE OVER" press conference and the NC GOVERNOR'S HIGHWAY SAFETY PROGRAM "Click It OR Ticket".
This is a worth while cause that will prevent fatalities during a vehicle accident. The event was held at LOWE's MOTOR SPEEDWAY in Concord, NC to honor entities that support this cause and elevate education and awareness!
The press conference, organized by AAA Carolinas and Families for Roadside Safety (F.O.R.S.), will explain the “Move Over” law and how to comply with it. Those invited to speak include:
Dave Parsons, President and CEO, AAA Carolinas
Lara Feinberg, director, Families for Roadside Safety (F.O.R.S.)
A representative from the N.C. Highway Safety Patrol, possibly Colonel W. Fletcher Clay
Jeff Cash from the N.C. State Fireman’s Association
N.C. State Rep. Ray Rapp, who sponsored a recent amendment to Move Over law, and
Tim Hayes, former MecklenburgCounty paramedic, whose legs were amputated resulting from an accident when he was in an EMS vehicle assisting on the side of the road.
Other speakers and officials were on hand to speak at the "Click IT OR Ticket" event including demostrations on how effective seatbelts perform during an accident to prevent fatalities!

"Child Safety Day"
October 27, 2007 Carolina Mall is partnering with CabarrusCounty agencies for a child safety day, which will be held outside the food court entrance from 10 am - 3pm. Public safety vehicles will be displayed in the parking lot. The event includes: Child ID kits, "Stranger Danger" presentations. Child safety seat checks will be held from 10am - 1pm. Other groups scheduled to be in attendance are NexTTyme LLC, Camp Brain Train, 4-H Club Displays, Cabarrus County Emergency Resource Officer (Fire Awareness), and Cub Scout Popcorn Sales!
